History of BBL

Big Bash League has been around since 2011 and is organized every year in December, January, and February. Out of the eight teams, six have won the title at least once but Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Stars never managed to win the title.

Here is the brief history of BBL:

(2011-12) – Sydney Sixers won beating Perth Scorcher by 7 wickets in WACA Ground.

(2012-13) – Brisbane Heat won beating Perth Scorchers by 34 runs in WACA Ground.

(2013-14) – Perth Scorches won beating Hobart Hurricanes by 39 runs in WACA Ground.

(2014-15) – Perth Scorchers won beating Sydney Sixers by 4 wickets in Manuka Oval.

(2015-16) – Sydney Thunder won beating Melbourne Stars by 3 wickets in Melbourne Cricket Ground.

(2016-17) – Perth Scorchers won beating Sydney Sixers by 9 wickets in WACA Ground.

(2017-18) – Adelaide Strikers won beating Hobart Hurricanes by 25 runs in Adelaide Oval.

(2018-19) – Melbourne Renegades won beating Melbourne Stars by 13 runs in Docklands Stadium.

(2019-20) – Sydney Sixers won beating Melbourne Stars by 19 runs in Sydney Cricket Ground.

(2020-21) – Sydney Sixers won beating Perth Scorchers by 27 runs in Sydney Cricket Ground.

(2021-22) – Perth Scorchers won beating Sydney Sixers by 79 runs in Marvel Stadium.
